On Sunday, Gold Crest Retirement Center hosted their annual Christmas dinner for their residents and their families.
The VFW Auxiliary 10042 met on Nov. 27 at the Community Center in Adams. Discussion about the flags at the north entrance to Adams was a priority. They have been routinely replaced every year in May before Memorial Day. However, the wind in Nebraska is very hard on the flags. It was decided to replace them as usual in May and again in November before Veteran’s Day. Christmas gifts were also assembled for the Veterans who are residing in nursing homes in the area. The next meeting will be Jan. 22, 2018, at the Community Center.
The weather continues to be unseasonably warm. They are promising this will change! It would be nice to see some snow before Christmas!
