The Bloodmobile was well attended on June 5. The goal was not quite reached. Enough people came to donate, but there were some deferrals.  All the donors were very much appreciated as well as all the volunteers who helped in any way. The next visit for the Bloodmobile will be Aug. 14, so mark your calendars. Special milestones were:  Susan Ruyle – 1 gallon, Harriet Van Engen – 5 gallon, Lisa Dorn – 6 gallon, Karen Page – 7 gallon and Marlene Bell – 12 gallon.

Condolences to the family of Alma DeBoer, 98, of Adams, who passed away on June 13, 2017. She is survived by a son Wayne and Kay DeBoer and by a daughter Barbara and Wesley Siefkes and a host of other family members.

Vesta and Randy Mewes of Sterling hosted a cook-out Sunday evening.  Attending were: Jeremey and Brandi Rainforth and two children of Palmyra; Brian and Colette Little of Sterling; Kurt and Diedra Little and two boys of Hickman; Jason and Savannah and Austin Denker of Adams; Tom and Cindy Little of Crab Orchard; Kaylee and Colton Brethouer of Beatrice; and Rose Little of Sterling.

The Adams churches are holding Bible School this week. The weather forecast is for it to be a little cooler with little rain. So, hopefully it will be an enjoyable week for them.

The crops are really growing with all the recent rains.
